We feel extremely fortunate and happy to have met Jay! We bought a house in AZ with plans to stay put for a long time. But due to changes in my employment, we needed to move out of state. Initially we were reluctant to sell the house as we planned on coming back to AZ but also weren't comfortable turning it into a rental as we'd be out of state. Jay gave us advice and help on what we should do. Knowing nothing about having a rental and needing to manage it from out of state, he found great tenants, introduced us with a trustworthy property management, and took care of everything for us. During the 5 years of it being a rental, Jay always reached out to us periodically just to check in to see how we were doing and updates on how our home was. It was great comfort knowing we have someone who didn't just check out after finding us tenants. Unfortunately we figured we most likely wouldn't be coming back to AZ. Working with Jay Martinez was a great experience. He goes above and beyond what is required of an agent in order to get the job done.
What I found to be most important is that Jay kept me well informed about every aspect of the process. There are so many matters that need to be considered when selling your property and Jay always explained the pros and cons of each in order to make the best decisions.

When it came time to go through the inspection period, Jay even handled that part by making sure every detail was taken care of. There are so many obstacles and roadblocks that can potentially sabotage the sale of the property if they’re not taken care of and this made the entire process easy to endure. I have known Jay Martinez since early 2009. We hired Jay to help us find a home in Phoenix. Over the past 3 years, I have found Jay to be an honest and patient man. An example of his character could almost be summed up in one particular interaction. After looking at many homes and condominiums over the period of a year, we came across one particular home in Scottsdale. The home was just a few blocks from work, in a nice neighborhood and had everything we were looking for. It could have been a slam dunk sale for Jay. After he listened to us talk about everything we liked and how we could see ourselves in this home, he made this statement. "I too like this home and it really gives me a good idea of what you’re looking for but I am going to strongly advise against it. Behind the wall in the backyard, this home sits on a very busy street, right at a very busy intersection. The noise will be constant 7 days a week".

After we tried to convince ourselves we could live with the noise and we wanted to right an offer anyway, Jay said this: " I will write an offer on this home under one condition...that you will also sign a statement from me advising you not to buy this home because of the knowledge I have of this busy street and intersection". He then asked us to be patient and find the right home for us, at the right price, with everything we were looking for. We took his advice and 3 months later we found the perfect place! Jay walked us through the negotiations on a home with multiple cash offers. He then met with the seller, guided us through the offer and we were able to consummate a deal.

Bottom line it was Jay’s honesty and ethical behavior that led us to our perfect home. We ended up with everything we wanted, and saved almost $70,000 in the purchase of our home over the home we wanted on the busy street!  I have since referred multiple friends and family to Jay and still seek his advice on certain real estate related issues as they arise.

As first time home buyers, we were very concerned about finding the right realtor to help us. We researched literally hundreds of names on the internet, and settled on three people to interview. Jay was the second person we sat down to speak with and, afterwards, we quickly cancelled our third meeting.
What initially struck us about Jay was his honesty and sincerity. He told us straight up that he wasn’t out to try and cheat anyone -- including whomever we’d be buying a home from. Jay Martinez uniquely helped us find the perfect home to raise our new family. We relocated to the Phoenix area and were overwhelmed with the area growth after being away from Arizona for over 11 years. Our new work allowed us the flexibility to choose almost any neighborhood in the Phoenix area. Jay met with us initially and really took the time to identify our priorities, our family needs, and our critical tastes. He helped us narrow down our choices to a few cities within the Phoenix area, then showed us multiple properties in each so that we could get an idea on what our price range would purchase in each city. As we started to focus in on the Ahwatukee/East Valley area, he continued to show us a compliment of newer properties and properties with promise. His assistance helped us choose our beautiful home, safe for the children, and wonderful friendly neighbors.
